The Historic Mansion: Staying in a historic mansion dating back to 1906 was like stepping into a time machine. The charm and grandeur of the building reminded me of an elegant era long gone, making my stay truly unique and memorable.
Morning Noise: Although it was in a reasonable hour, the sound of a baby crying and people going up and down the stairs in the morning was a slight disturbance.

Stayed in a posh mansion near the train station. Had a scrumptious breakfast. Lovely garden and free WiFi. Room had luxurious linens, plush bathrobes, and fancy bath products. The lunch menu was extra fancy.
Heard a baby crying and people walking in the morning. Clearly, babies and people living their lives are a major inconvenience.

The B&B Koeketiene blew our minds! The beautiful home converted to a B&B by Fran and Maarten was jaw-dropping. Our room was super spacious with a separate sitting area and the bathroom amenities were spotless. But the best part was the incredibly friendly and welcoming family who owns and manages the property. We felt so comfortable staying with them and wished we could have stayed longer. The breakfasts at the family-run restaurant downstairs were delicious and the owners were always helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, easily accessible to the train station, tram, and city park. This charming stay was truly a gem.

Stayed in a charming old house near the station. Breakfast was a feast of fancy options, but I settled for croissant and espresso. Free WiFi and a garden added to the posh vibe.
Oh, wait, there were no cons. Perfect stay, darling!

The room at B&B Koeketiene was super cozy and comfy. I loved the private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. It felt like a little sanctuary after a long day of exploring Ghent. As a mom of two, having a private bathroom was a game-changer.
Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of the decor, but hey, that's just my personal taste.

A Memorable Breakfast: I was transported to breakfast heaven with the indulgent spread of buttermilk pancakes, avocado toast, eggs benedict, and more. It was like waking up to a brunch fiesta every morning!
Limited Restaurant Availability: Unfortunately, the on-site restaurant was closed due to the owners being on vacation.
